Veneers

At Family Dental Associates, we strive to provide high quality dental care to all of our patients in the Margate, FL area. We understand the importance of having a beautiful smile, so our veneers procedure allows our patients to get the smile that they deserve. Many of our patient who have had this treatment enjoyed life-changing and remarkable results with their newly transformed smiles.

What Are Veneers?

Veneers are thin, semi-translucent “shells” made of a porcelain material that are attached to the front of your teeth. Veneers are indistinguishable from your natural teeth and are custom designed specifically for each patient. This treatment is a great alternative to otherwise painful dental procedures to improve the appearance of your smile. We recommend that you avoid foods or drinks that may stain your veneers such as coffee, tea, or red wine.

Common problems that veneers are used for:

  • Spaces between the teeth
  • Broken or chipped teeth
  • Unsightly, stained or discolored teeth
  • Permanently stained or discolored teeth
  • Crooked or misshapen teeth

Veneers are a great aesthetic solution to your smile that may even help you avoid orthodontic treatment. They are made to look and feel natural with minimal maintenance that lasts a lifetime.

What Is Involved In The Veneer Treatment?

The process for veneers is virtually painless and can be completed in only two office visits. During your first visit, our Margate, FL cosmetic dentist will gently shave away a small portion of your tooth to accommodate the veneer. A mold of your teeth and mouth will be made and sent to a dental lab in order to create a customized veneer to blend in with your surrounding teeth. While the permanent veneers are being made, you will need to wear temporary veneers for about 2 to 3 weeks.

When the veneers are ready, you will need to return to our dental office for a second visit to have veneers bonded to the teeth. Your temporary veneers will be removed and your permanent veneers will be attached with a strong dental cement. This is usually an irreversible process, but you will be given a brand new look with a beautiful smile.
